Open Membership
Membership of the FORUM FOR DEMOCRATIC CONSOLIDATION shall be open, upon application to the Branch Executive Committee, to all Kenyan citizens who are 18 years and above and in possession of a valid National Identification card or Passport, irrespective of gender, race, colour or creed and who accepts principles, objects, policies, programmes, directives and discipline of the Party and are prepared to profess and abide by this Constitution and rules made there-under provided that such person is not a member of another Political Party within the meaning of the Political Parties Act, 2007.
Clarification & Identification
Any person who, upon application to the National Executive
Committee, has manifested a clear identification with the FORUM FOR DEMOCRATIC CONSOLIDATION and its principles, objects, policies, programmes, directives and discipline and is resident in Kenya may apply for membership.
Retainership
Any person who, upon application to the National Executive
Committee is a citizen of the Republic of Kenya though not ordinarily resident in Kenya and has manifested a clear identification with the FORUM FOR DEMOCRATIC CONSOLIDATION, its principles, objects, policies, programmes, directives and discipline may apply for membership. Such a member temporarily residing abroad for a continuous period of more than twelve months may retain his/her membership but shall notify Party Headquarters of his/her forwarding address.
Receiving
- Function: Responsible for the physical receipt and inspection of all incoming produce from farmers or suppliers. This involves verifying quantities, assessing quality against agreed-upon standards, and ensuring proper documentation and storage.
- Key Activities: Receiving and unloading produce, conducting quality inspections, verifying quantities and documentation, updating inventory records, coordinating with procurement and logistics departments.
Party Subscription
No person otherwise disqualified under the Political Parties Act, 2007 shall be eligible for membership as a founding member within the meaning of that Act.
All members shall, before a Certificate of Membership is conferred to him/her, sign and subscribe to the Party’s Code of Conduct and a Pledge of Commitment.
Certificate of Membership
All members shall, before a Certificate of Membership is conferred him/her, pay prescribed fees for membership.
Membership cards will be issued to registered members of FDC and to persons whose application for membership has been accepted, subject to review as aforesaid, and, in all cases, subject to payment of the prescribed subscription fees. An applicant will be issued with an acknowledgement receipt and a provisional membership card which will show details of the members national identity card as well as his/her voters card No, gender, disability status, County, Constituency/ Polling Area in which the applicant resides and any available information about the local County structures. This information shall also be contained in the party’s membership register.
